| GHOSTS & HAUNTS IN MISSOURI WOODLOCK CEMETERY STORIES page 2 Yeah I live near Woodlock and I can tell you that place is definitely haunted. I have been there several times and at one time there was a pipe coming up from a grave. I pushed a stick in it and it only went down about 5 inches. So I was like yeah some funny joke. That was until smoke started rising up from it. There was no explanation as to why the smoke would come up. But if you look at a lay out for the cemetery it is in the shape of an oval. but what a layout wont show you is that if you go back into the woods there are more graves that are not mapped. The people in the grave yard used to own a mansion like building in Davisville that they used for like a bed and breakfast suite. But the building is no longer there and no one knows exactly what happened to it. I recommend that everyone go to visit Woodlock. Yes it is true that paranormal events don't happen when you want them to so be willing to give it a few tries. DB I understand the people across the road now either owns the cemetery or at least tries to protect it. They will shoot at any trespasers at night. They don't seem to mind if curoius people go during the day but watch out for your safety at night. KC My family and I recently went to the Woodlock Cemetery to see what it has to offer. We went during the day and had permission from the caretakers since there has been so much trespassing and vandilism recently they have began to shoot at people who go there without permission, esp at night. The questionable pentagram is really an eastern star symbol which is the womens side of the Masons. It is a great cemetery but not sure about the haunting of it. K Hello.. I would like to give you a little clip I taped at Lockwood Cemetery in Davisville Mo. On June 24th 2005.. My friend and my Daughter and I Went up just to look around just for the heck of it... We really didnt Hear or see anything until I looked at what I taped when I got home. In the Clip I sent. You Can see faces looking at us in at the edge of the trees.. And a red mist at the bottom... When we also got there there was water standing at the entrance.. And the thing was on that was it had'nt rained in like a week. So Where did all that water come from? But I hope this gives you more proof that there is something thats not normal up there.. And I will be happy to to send you a copy of our whole taping if you give me an Address to send it to... Thank you and Becareful and Happy Ghost Hunting J.D. Cherryville Mo. The Woodlock Cemetery is PRIVATE PROPERTY, anyone entering this posted NO Trespassing site is breaking the law. I am a member of the Davisville Historical Society which are the trustees of the Woodlock Cemetery. If anyone is interested in viewing the area please check at the Davisville General Store for permission. Otherwise is you are seen there and have not been given permission you could be arrested. At night the cemetery is monitored with large motion triggered lights. If you are there these lights will come on. They are not turned on by spooks or ghosts but by electricity. The gate was installed to dissuade visitors but mainly to maintain the original look of the cemetery. We did have a lock put on it but after having police come out everytime someone cut it off we decided to leave it unlocked. This is a PRIVATE family cemetery! NO hauntings!! The water at the entrance is from a natural spring. NOTHING paranormal. So please, just leave the place alone. Anyone there without permission is likely to be photographed and their license number recorded. We have had a lot of vandalism and destruction at this historical site.
