| Ghosts & Haunts In Missouri Haunted Locations In Washington The ghost of a man has been seen along side the west bound lane of Old Hwy 100. Witnesses report seeing him try to hitch hike from the town of Villa Ridge into the city of Washington. He is said to ask drivers for a ride into Washington. He speaks with the drivers who pick him up, but vanishes before reaching town. MAP Zoom Below is a letter from a visitor to this site. I live in Union and I go to Union High School. Last year around Halloween me and a bunch of friends went out to the bridge. We got out and checked it out it was about 10pm so it was pretty scary. We seen the writing saying we love you Eric and stuff like that and then we found cow bones and then we like got really cold and left. I was driving and I had about 5 people in my car, When I looked into my rear view mirror I saw a girl, none of which were my friends, and then I freaked out. I felt like something was choking me and I couldn't breath. I have never ever seen something like that ever. And then we hadn't gone back in a long time. About a month ago we went with some friends and nothing happened. We went back still nothing happened. We went back another time and there was some boys drinking from Washington and me and my friends wouldn't drink cause we had to be home but we all herd voices and dogs barking like right near us. That wasn't bad, then just last Saturday night we went back out there and we turned off the car and blew the horn 3 times and flashed our lights 3 times and we sat we all got a chill a bad one and then we left the bridge and we were at the top of the road and we noticed that the sign wasn't there. It was gone so we left and didn't think of it and we stopped at a gas station and i was checking my friends oil and stuff when we seen hand prints all over her car every wear and get this we washed the car about 3 hours b 4 we went out there and none of the hand prints matched ours and we went around anyone that night it was just us.
