GHOSTS & HAUNTS IN MISSOURI
HAUNTED HOUSE ON WARD PARKWAY

There is a house, so old and as my memory recalls spooky, so many stories are told of it. Hard to know what's true and what is not, it is a big house in Kansas City hope someone knows something about it.

The house you are referring to is in Kansas City, on Ward Parkway. Story goes the owner late 1800s early 1900s heard noises, seeing things,  thinking he was going crazy. It went on for so long he eventually did go crazy and killed his family then himself. It as far as I know has people living there and can be on occasion to be accommodating in letting you go through it. I hope I helped, I am pretty sure thats the house you are thinking of.

My experience took place in Winter 2002.  My family and I were over at the house painting and fixing the place up.  It was the weekend too, so we decided to stay the night there.  The bedroom I slept in that night was right next to the stairs that go up to the attic.  I went to bed and slept like a rock.  The funny thing is, I did not wake up in the middle of the night like you would expect. All the action started that morning right when I woke up.  Just as I opened my eyes in the morning, I heard loud fast paced footsteps coming down the attic stairs.  As the footsteps hit the bottom of the staircase, they turned into my room and what I saw was very bizarre. It appeared to be a bright orange, fiery, 7 foot tall flaming phenomena.  I was shocked and I stared at this for about 5 seconds, just then, it started hissing at me.  Just as it began to hiss like a snake on steroids, it began spraying me with a liquid.  The liquid was a steady stream that came out of it and hit me in the chest.  The weird part is, the liquid did not get me wet, it just felt as if an air pressure was shooting on my chest.  I turned my back to it and I could feel the stuff hitting me on the back.  So I threw the covers over my head and it stopped.  I was frozen, I could not talk, I couldn't catch my breathe, I tried to yell for help but I was scared.  I hid under the covers for a good 15 minutes then took them off to see if it was still there.  It was, and began hissing and spraying again so I pulled the covers over my head to stop it.  After about an hour of waiting under the covers, I heard my parents walking through the hallway.  I then had the courage to yell, they came in and of course it vanished.  Now you might think that this was a dream I had in the morning.  I can assure you it wasn't!  I have many other experiences to back this one up, not to mention my family's encounters. That morning was the most terrified I have ever been in my life.
