| Ghosts & Haunts In Missouri Haunted Locations In Wainwright Link Cemetery, located 1/4 mile down Country Road 4029 running north of town to the hilltop. This small two acre cemetery dates back to 1838. The Link family arrived in the early 1800's and settled here, some still live near this cemetery to this day. On one of the gravestones of a 15 year old boy killed during the Civil War is chiseled the words murdered. He was taken from his home and hung a few miles away from this graveyard. MAP This cemetery has never been formally investigated so there are no photos or legends of activity that I have been able to locate. Anyone with more information about this site please e-mail us with your info so I can update this site. Below is a letter from a visitor to this site. I just got into ghost hunting thanks to some friends. I live in Jefferson City, MO. I was wondering if anyone has been to Link Cemetery. We went one night back in November during the lunar eclipse. What was strange about it is..it was a cold night, but it did not feel really cold in the cemetery. Some of the grave markers were warm on one side and cold on the other. My necklace at the marker of a dead infant started getting really hot and felt like it was burning a hole into my chest. Once I left the cemetery, my necklace was freezing cold. Page Back |
