A few blocks away from Cupples house on Lindell, the old St. Louis Medical Society building is also haunted. My mother works there and she's experienced some strange things. One Saturday morning, she was on the third floor by herself, there were two women on the second floor and a security guard on the ground floor. Sometime around noon the security guard came up to the 3rd floor to get my mom since the fire alarm started to go off even though there was no sign of a fire. The two ladies were standing near the door when my mom joined them and they asked her if she was the one who got on the intercom and yelled something about a fire. My mom said no and showed them that the intercom has been completely disconnected for years.

Haunted insane asylum, I only have the approximate location. From Jennings Station Road turn right or east on Mclaran Avenue. The Mansion sits on a hill to your left, but might be several blocks down this street. The stories of this location being a former asylum could be nothing more than urban legends, as of yet no historical information is available about this site.
