Powell Hall 718 North Grand Blvd, 314-534-1700. The cross streets are Delmar Blvd and Grandel Sq, this site is haunted by a ghost nicknamed George, he is seen dressed in a white suit and hat. | The Whittemore House 6440 Forsyth Blvd. The cross streets are Wallace Circle and North Skinker Blvd. Organ music heard, apparitions of a man from the waist up have been seen, footsteps heard along with doors slamming, and the attic is reported to be very active. MAP |
The Admiral Riverboat. 1-800-878-7411; at the Eads Bridge where Washington Ave and Commercial Street meet. The Admiral is haunted by the ghost of Fred Williams, the ships porter, who is said to cause strange noises with loud thumping on the bulkheads. MAP |
| Payne Gentry Home 4211 Fee Fee Road in Bridgeton, open on Sundays. The cross streets are Ann Mar Drive and Long Road. From where Hwy 270 meets Saint Charles Rock Road, take St.Charles Rock Road East for 2.1 miles to Fee Fee Road; turn left or north on Fee Fee Road and go down it .5 mile, (you will drive over Hwy 70; it will be on your left hand side just past Hwy 70). | Calvary Ave. between West Florissant Ave and North Broadway, Bellefontaine Cemetery 4947 West Florissant Ave. 314-381-0705 and Calvary Cemetery, 5274 West Florissant Ave. 314-381-1313. Between these two Cemeteries is a road reported to be haunted called Calvary Ave. People driving down this road have seen ghosts; stories range from hitchhiking apparitions to spirits that walk in front of their cars, and when the driver stops to see if they ran into them; no one there.
