| Ghosts & Haunts In Missouri Haunted Locations In Paris The downtown Streets of Paris. The city is located in north east Missouri where the roads of US 24 and SR15 and SR 154 meet. The ghost is of a woman with a reputation as a bully, she is seen dressed in a bonnet wearing black clothing. She would be seen walking the streets of town intimidating passers-by, this haunting lasted for nearly a century, but her apparition has not been reported being seen for a number a years. As story tells, back in World War II there was a lady in Paris whos husband was off to war. While he was there he had fell in love with a nurse that was serving in his camp. He wrote a letter back to his wife telling her of his affair, and in her dispair she had shot herself. After the funeral, people who claim to see this lady in a black dress and veil walking the roads of Paris. There was no certain times that she would appear, but it was mostly everyday. The lady had been seen a few years before somebody had said that they could never see her feet. After that the town was amazed. There was this floating lady that just went through town not doing anything just walking around. There were hundreds of sightings of her up until 1980's when the husband of the woman had died. Since then no one has seen her, though some claimed to have seen her in the graveyard the day of his funeral. I'm not from Paris, but I have lived about 20 minutes away all my life. I've never seen the lady, but there are several people that I know who have claimed too, including my own co-workers that are from Paris. This is the true story.
