| Ghosts & Haunts In Missouri Haunted locations In Nevada Cottey College, located at 1000 West Austin Blvd, 417-667-8181. From where US 71 meets US 54 also called East Subway Blvd, take East Subway west .9 miles to East Austin Blvd, turn right or west on East Austin and go down it 1.4 miles to 1000 West Austin Blvd. The school is haunted by a ghost named Vera who died in an accidental fire that she started in Rosemary Hall. She now haunts the entire school, being both helpful and playing tricks. The ghost of a man in black has also been seen at the school. MAP Deepwood Cemetery, located in the southeastern outskirts of town by the railroad tracks between East Pitcher Street and South Washington Street. At this cemetery, the ghost of a woman is said to appear beside her gravestone, which is located near the railroad tracks where she is reported to have been photographed. Others have reported taking photos of orbs, apparitions, and luminous energy. MAP Newton Cemetery, located on the south side of West Highland Ave where it meets North West Street. From this cemetery photographs of human faces showing up over the gravestones have been taken.
