| Ghosts & Haunts In Missouri L.I.G.H.T House Stories I have a friend that stayed at the lighthouse in KC, she was there for a year and had many unusual occurrences, she actually saw a nun that smiled at her and when she asked about it the next day was told there was not a nun working there. I have tried to get permission to do an overnight or a small investigation and got no where. I was a resident at the L.I.G.H.T. House in Kansas City, MO (it's a home for pregnant women.) It used to be a convent, but it was renovated. Anyway, one night, I was getting out of bed and walking down the hall to the restroom, when I saw a light. (This is the only way I can describe what I saw.) I have no idea what it was, but I was terrified, and I wasn't the only one who felt these things. I was at the Lighthouse from March of 1999 to August of 1999 and I too always had the feeling that someone was watching me. The basement was off limits and I was later told that when it was a convent they actually buried the cardinal in the wall---kind of like a tomb but later removed the body when the convent was sold to the Lighthouse. The elevator also did strange things like stalled or took you to the totally wrong floor. It was just a very uneasy feeling there but everyone that worked there was really warm.
