Ghosts & Haunts In Missouri
Haunted Railroad Tunnel Stories at Lees Summit

My friends, my friend's parents and I went to the location described on the site. We figured we'd check it out because we live near by. We came prepared with nightvision video cameras, 35 mm cameras and flashlights. We explored the railroad ties and found nothing and searched up and down the road, and again came up empty handed. I took a picture of my friends just to document who all was actually out and exploring (the parents were in the car).
We walked up and down the road and at about 10:30 blue lights started to appear on the tracks, when we'd move, they'd move. The lights followed us under the bridge and even when we got in the car they would stay in the woods right next to it. We didn't film anything else besides the lights and decided to make our own ghost movie to scare our friends at school. We used our own shadows, we stood in a line, and Eric (the friend who's parents were in the car) started to film. We jumped around and did stupid things like that. One of my other friends, Garrett picked up a glass bottle and threw it at the railroad ties, a low hiss started, sounding like a snake but got louder and lower pitched like something angry. No snakes slithered away and nothing happened except a cold chill going up your spine. We ran back to the car and got out of there.
We left at about 11:10, Eric cued up the video to our "movie" and as soon as it started another form moved very, very quickly across the bottom right hand corner of the screen, we all freaked out. The figure was roughly a foot and a half shorter than the eight foot sign it crossed. None of us in the party are over 6 feet tall, if any of us are even 6 feet. We showed others and no one was buying it so we gave up, until I got my pictures back. On the negative of the picture I took of my three friends, down in the bottom right hand corner there is a figure there, slouched over and it's torso fades off towards the bottom. I was standing right next to a ghost and didn't even know it!
The ghost didn't seem mean unless that was it hissing at us for disturbing him.  He didn't bother us much except for the lights following us. It was an interesting experience I suggest someone from this site explore the tracks.

Hi there, I live in Lee's Summit Missouri and my husband, myself and a friend of ours went to the Haunted railroad tracks, located north of town off of Colbern Road just east of the little cedar creek bridge at the rail road tracks,we found nothing but I did feel uneasiness while being there. We went up and down the tracks and found nothing but those tracks are still used, we almost got hit by a train if we hadn't heard the whistle. Those tracks are very creepy and VERY DANGEROUS, BUT PLEASE USE WITH  CAUTION when going to the tracks during the day or night. Might as well put some bug off spray too, there are ticks out there like you never believe, but it is very creepy out there.
But it did smell like Silver Dollar City, the black smith smell you know.
We went out there total of 4 times, the 3 were at night time, but the 4 time was in the day.
