Ghosts & Haunts In Missouri
  Haunted Kimmswick Cemetery Stories

Honestly, I don't think that plot is haunted. I know that the cemetery is of the man that founded Kimmswick and his wife and their child. He must have really loved his wife as her monument is about 5 feet tall.  As I said, I have visited that site many times and actually jumped the little fence they have around it, nothing popped out at me or anything.

Hello,  I have been researching your web-site. I  Live in Barnhart, but  grew up in Imperial, 1/2 a mile from Kimmswick. I am writing about the graveyard on Montebello Camp Rd. The last person who wrote in about this site says, he/she had visited this graveyard by hopping a little fence many times. This can't be true, because there is no fence. And if they had visited This foggy little Cemetery, they  would know it is haunted. I have been to this Graveyard many, many nights  (when my friends were not too afraid to go) growing up, considering it was a  1/4 mile walk. You always had a very cold and uneasy feeling when entering this place. It sets right onside of a kind a busy road, but you so feel alone even when cars are passing. Another creepy fact about this Graveyard is that there is a little spot way in the left back, way past the other graves where there is only young children buried. As if the community was try to hide these deaths from people. I could go on for days about how spooky  this cemetery is, but I am sure you want me to get on with the point . Truth is I have never seen anything there, just felt the presence and cold spots, but I have a good friend to this day, who grew up  practically in the graveyard. His property line in back met up with about 100  ft. of wooded area that had a path that lead right into the back corner of Cemetery. He used this trail on all the time to get to and from different parts of the neighborhood. He never had problems until one late night walking home  alone through his ordinary path, when a glowing fog raised from the oldest dated grave that was half swallowed into a overgrown cedar tree (which is still there today, there is a wind chime in the tree that has been there since I was a kid). He Didn't stick around to find out what the glowing fog was up to. He ran home as fast as his feet would go. Since that night he always went around the Graveyard to get to friends houses. Even to this day my good friend who is now a Dad and  Responsible person, whom I have never known to lie, Swears on his children that  what happened that night was nothing less than what he Told.
