| Ghosts & Haunts In Missouri Kerr Cemetery Stories I have lived in Republic my whole life and when I was a bit younger we used to go out to Kerr all the time, It was pretty much a second home, heh. I have several stories and experiences at Kerr. I will try to tell the best ones. There are 4 very distinct figures that I have seen alot out there, one is an old cowboy who seems to roam the entire place. 2 of them are young children's graves that seems to glow on nights with a little light. The last one is the one that terrifies everyone I know, the glowing red eyes. Story goes that when you seem them, get out. We tested them one night and when we saw them, they kept getting closer, and then would be seen all arround the vehicle. Well we finally left my friend dropped me off at my home and called me later terrified because he said a hanging plant from his ceiling wouldn't stop swaying back and forth, he thinks a ghost had followed him home because strange things continued to happen till he moved out of that apartment. One other thing i thought was freaky, me and some friends were standing at the back of the cemetery and noticed if you looked at the front up in the trees, there looks to be an evil smile in them. I have noticed that every time I've gone to Kerr since then. I have several more experiences but just too many to list. Oh yeah, there is a story that there is an Indian burial ground back off in the woods but I myself have never gone exploring beyond the graveyard, but I have heard the beating of drums out there before so I could belive it.
