| Ghosts & Haunts In Missouri Hornersville Ghost Stories There is another place that isn't included on your list or haunted spots in Missouri......the place is Kennett, Missouri, a place around Hornersville. There are many places in Kennett haunted, one of the places is a small cemetery, just down the road from Girl Scout Camp Oakhaven. the place is haunted by several ghosts, some of whom i have seen before. the ghost which is very strange is the ghost of a young woman, i of whom have seen her before. she just walks about the cemetery just staring at the ground. She doesn't want to hurt anything. there is another ghost of a baby, whom is called 'The Marble Baby'. his/her grave is located near the middle of the cemetery, just behind a bush. its grave is homemade, consisting of concrete and marbles. They say if you take a marble from the headstone the baby's cry will haunt you until you either return the marble of die. there is also is a cemetery, just discovered a few months ago, on Industrial Road, down the street from Masterson Elementary take a right and keep going down the road until you get to ARI, American Railroad Industry, and go right at the dead-end and keep going and you will get to a tree line and fence row, if you look very carefully, you will see several very old tombstones. no one knows how old they are or who put them there. the city of Kennett has no records of that cemetery, which you really couldn't call it that because it only has about 20, maybe a few more, headstones, it was discovered when the company was clearing the land to add building and a backhoe ran over a tombstone, they cleared it out a little more and they found the little cemetery. There also is a road, on the old highway 25, go down the road and you will see a dirt road, turn on it and that will lead you to the "Lover's Lane" of Kennett. That is a really spooky place because about 10 or so years back there was a murder, which really happened around the flood-ways and then the body was moved to "Lover's Lane". the murderers beat the man to death and then took his and dug a 2 foot deep grave. they pushed him in the grave until he bent literally in half. They say if you go down the road you will see a bloody man walking across the road asking for help. one of the haunted houses in Kennett is a big yellow house, a 3 floor building behind South Elementary School, it is said, that a woman was murdered and her ghost haunts the room she was killed in, which is her bedroom. no one ever found out who murdered her, though people suspected her husband, though it was never proven, her murder is still unsolved. There is yet another place, the road beside the cemetery down the road from Girl Scout Camp Oakhaven. they say, many people I know have seen it, that a young boy, who is completely gray, rides his bike, which is also gray, behind your car and you see him one minute and the next he is gone, people think he is their guardian angel following them.
