| Ghosts & Haunts In Missouri Haunted Heartland Health Care Hospital I am a nurse at Heartland east and I was talking with another nurse that had worked at the old hospital and she told me about nurse Helen. I guess there have been several people who have seen her. She used to be a nurse there in the surgery unit. Legend has it that she actually died on the surgery table so now she haunts the hospital. My friend experience with her was not a bad one just a little weird. It was evening and she was finishing up a 16 hr. shift when she went into a large room to be by her self and to do some charting. After she had sat there for a while she felt a cold breeze behind her. Like the kind you feel when some one walks behind you. It made her so nervous that she packed up her things and left the room as soon as she could. There have been my other people that have actually seen her. They say that she has a pleasant look about her and that she wears the old nurse uniform, the white dress, white hose, and white hat. People also say that there are many other hauntings that happen all over the hospital especially other the Alzheimer's unit and the mental health floor. I just haven't heard what they are.
