| Ghosts & Haunts In Missouri Freudenberger stories page 2 I just thought that I would share an experience that I had while I lived in Freddy in 2001. I lived on 5E I think it was, at the end of the hall in one of the four person rooms. I came back a few days early from Thanksgiving break to very empty dorm. Before we left for break, it was stressed to lock and shut all doors and windows and the RAs even had to check everyone off before we could leave. Well, when I came back, every time I would leave my room and be half way down the hall, the door from the room across the hall from mine would open. I would walk back and as soon as I was close the door would slam shut. So I would walk back down the hall, and once again it would open, walk back, slam shut. So then I would open my door, shut it, and stand there to see if my door opening would affect it (to see if the lock was broken and maybe a vacuum between the doors was opening it), but nothing. So I would walk back down the hall and do whatever I was on my way to doing and come back and the door would finally shut. A couple of times I would get curious and stay in my room and open and close my door. After nothing, when I finally quit, the door would open again. Now, I know that there was not a person in the room. Anyone who has lived in Freddy knows that there are communal bathrooms and I did not see a single person ouside of the people at the front desk for four days. And the lights were always off in that room. Then one time I tried to open the door getting braver just to see if the knob had broken and didn't need to be turned for the door to open. The door knob was fine. I didn't look much more because there were people that lived in the room at the time. Before break I had heard some rumors that a boy had committed suicide in that room a few years before and about people feeling something very cold coming from the room. I don't know if any of that is true, but I do know that that was the first time that I ever saw anything strange happen and it seemed odd that it would start when I was pretty much alone in the building. After my roommates were back, one thought that she would be funny and yell out to whatever it was to show itself to her, and the door swung open and then slammed shut. Before the door always just kind of creeped open. Both girls who lived in that room, changed to other rooms on the hall before Christmas. EK Hi, I live on the fifth floor west wing of Freddy house on the SMS campus. I read about the hauntings you talked about on your website and wanted to tell you some stories of things that have been going on here this semester. One of the first nights that we moved in, I woke up early to the sound of furniture moving above us. We are on the top floor, so I kind of thought that was a little odd. Now we are half-way through the semester and I just learned of Dorm-Mom but have heard rumors of her name being Adorma? Then last nite I was in the room alone and heard what sounded like marbles dropping. A few other girls in our dorm have experienced things such as feeling like someone was touching their shoulders or sides, only to turn around and see no one.
