Ghosts & Haunts In Missouri
           Fort Leonard Wood Stories

Before I moved to Missouri I did a lot of ghost hunting and also minored in paranormal psychology....Fort Leonard Wood has got to be one of the most actively inhabited areas I have visited.
1- WWII Barracks, located behind the museum. One can hear crying/weeping, and on certain nights see the appearance of a young female. Nothing scary about her, I like to think she was a soldiers wife who looks for someone who never came home 2-Bloodrich Cemetary lots of orbs in the photos I have taken there.
3-Unnamed Cemetary, not gov't owned going towards happy hollow golf trail, very clear baby/toddler cries- BEWARE OF GAME WARDENS IN THIS AREA
4-#2 Totten Cir, Someone new moved in but 2 years ago a soldier committed suicide in that house, orbs and a creepy feeling There are a lot more places on FLW, but I do not know the specific names of streets. Just thought I would share.

I currently live at Fort Leonard Wood and I've always been interested in the paranormal. I've had MANY run-ins with spirits over the years. You could say, "I see dead people" cause I can see them at times and "feel" them. Well, my friend and I went to about 5 cemeteries on base and only captured images from only two cemeteries, which I'm enclosing. Two are from a cemetery that is no longer in use and hasn't since 1923. I don't know the name is but it's about 3 to 5 miles from the Bloodland Cemetery.  It's in the woods and is very peaceful. The first picture is all blurry and looks like it was shaken. My friend tried taking the picture 3 times and the camera kept shutting off on her. Thinking it was the battery I looked and this image was taken. She said it was perfectly still all three times. At a time before these pictures were taken, we had come out there before dusk and I kept seeing shadows of someone walking by out of the corner of my eye. The other picture was taken at the Fort Leonard Wood Post Cemetery. That's the only thing I got there but my friend and I both kept getting the feeling someone was watching us.

Just wanted to comment on the "unnamed cemetary" you mentioned. Actually before Fort leanord wood became Gov't property way back when, the Jamisons Owned it. I am a direct decendent of that family. And you are right about the baby cries, those stories are even in our family archives!! My close family has tried to get on base specifically to visit the cemetary, and when they find out we are relations they won't allow us near it, wierd huh? I think I am gonna get ahold of our family archive book next time I visit my grandma, If I can I will email you some more particulars of family "legends" from there. But from now On you can call it the Jamison Cemetary!  I know there is also another small building up there they have not torn down because no one will go near it, I forget what it was though- I don't belive it was a house, the Jamison house was a HUGE farm house- maybe it was slave quarters??? I am a member of the U.S. Air Force. I am from fulton Missouri and I am a part of a small ghost huntinggroup with my friends. We have gone down there several times. To clear up some rumors, The car coming at you and passin through, false. The woman with the baby, never seen it.  But, some truths!! There are several ghosts down there, on in the creek under the bridge, I had the opportunity to jump down right next to him. He ran past me in the gravel, but I saw nothing, only heard his footsteps as he ran for about 100 feet. That was during noon. At 11:00 pm an a moon night, I have heard him walking in the creek, lost. We have seen red eyes in the trees on the sides of the rock cliffs. One time we stopped by the huge tree that looks real creepy, which is right across from a driveway, anyway we stopped and I turned out the lights and ever yone in the back seat saw a man with a mustache in the window. They described him as see through and old looking. I once took a picture that had 4 figures in it. Ill try to find it and post it. Anyway, it has a man screaming with an outstretched arm, and 3 demonic looking creatures. There WAS once a satanic cult in dark hollow and there WERE sacrifices!! Well, you may post this and I encourage this, but never go out alone and get out of the car and walk, you will never be the same….
I have some friends in the military that do believe in ghosts. But, I can not speak for the military or its members on this subject. But I can say that the people in the military are ordinary people and have their own beliefs, even officers may, and they may have even seen some in wars. I do not doubt ghosts on Ft. Wood; in fact I was just there in November through December and I believe, because a lot of the buildings on base are very old, and also that many people have died there, that there could be several hauntings. I havenot tried EVP at the bridge, but my sound on my video camera stopped working that day....anyway, no video footage on the bridge ghost, but still firm on the photo in the trees, but I do have video footage of some unexplained light and an orange globe shooting down the creek. At place closer to St. Louis, which is called crybaby bridge, do some research on it, it is interesting, but a lot of myths. But this is the most solid footage I have ever gotten.
