| Creve Coeur Park Stories Hi, I just got back from Creve Coeur Park. My friend and myself went there hoping to see/hear the CCP ghost of the Native American girl. We got there around 9pm and parked. We then proceeded to walk the path towards the cliff. Before we got to the park, we bought some flashlights from the Walgreen's by the park. Half way towards the cliff, my friend's flashlight dies on him, leaving us with just one. Around then we thought we heard something, but dismissed it as trees or something. So, we decided to go back to the car and drive it closer to where we thought the cliff was. After we got back to the car and drove it to the where we were wanting to get closer we realized the bridge (in front of the cliff) was practically in front of us. And we saw a big sign talking about the Native American girl who jumped to her death. So, we decided to roll up our windows and walk to the small bridge. Just as we did, we heard the scream. A loud one at that.We looked at each other and seriously thought about driving off. But, we finally decided to leave the headlights on and go check it out. Slowly we got out of the car to walk the thirty feet to the small bridge. Before we even got to the bridge, we heard the crying... really close. I shown my flashlight towards the sound and it my light wouldn't shine in that area. To say the least, we walked back to our car and sped off. It's a full moon tonight and there's another one tomorrow night. We're going back tomorrow with more people and flashlights. I'll send another email afterwords. JH In reference to Creve Coeur Lake Park, are you aware there is as yet an unsolved murder of a young girl whose body was found near the top of one of the hills overlooking the lake? There was no proof that the murder actually occurred in the park. The year was either 1945 or 1946. She was abducted from a bus stop after going to the movies with friends. She got off the bus alone, her purse and one shoe was found at the bus stop. Later her body was found at the park where she had been drug UP the hill. The screams that people hear there at night may not be that of the probably fictional Indian girl LG Page Back |
