| Columbia College Stories Hey, just writing you about the Columbia College Section of your site to let you know that there is alot there. In the girls dorm(Hughes Hall) their is a suicide victim who has been seen all threw the building. In Dorsey Gym there is a girl who looks like shes from the sixties that runs up and down the stairs at times. Also the original Building, Williams hall has a basement that is off limits to everyone but campus security but after a EVP trip to the Devils Ice Box one of the guards who will remain anonymous led me and a friend down there and the place is totally freaky just to be in, and between us we have got some EVP's such as "Get Out" and "Charles" as you may or may not know their were underground tunnels used by escaping slaves that ran under the campus and can be accessed from this basement room as ever been in my life. RM I attended Stephens College in Columbia MO in the late 70's and at that time Senior Hall was under renovation and closed (except for the yearbook offices). But there were many stories of strange things which happened there. We could see the two towers of the hall from the dorms around and I recall looking out my friend's window in Wood Hall and seeing the shades in the third and 4th floor of the tower either up completely (or gone), half down, or all the way down. It would vary from time to time. We always thought it was because someone would go in there and move them. One day we went in to explore the old rooms and went to the dorm room with the tower in it, on the third floor. The tower part of the room was filled with debris of old broken furniture and it was just crammed in there. Looking up to where the ceiling should be, we saw that there was no floor and we could see to the 4th floor of the tower, completely inaccessible to someone who wanted to move the shades, which, by the way, weren't even on the windows. Yes, the windows were bare! Strange but true. We still watched the shades vary from time to time from other locations. RH Page Back |
