| Ghosts & Haunts In Missouri Capitol Stories The place was built in the early 50's or 60's by a bunch of hippies basically..lol ..AS a teenager I used to sneak up there with my friends all of the time..There is also a small house and a small barn on the property..I remember a friend went into the barn and he claimed there were shackles all over the place..We did go into the house and all there was were lists and lists of people's names and addresses...One time we snuck up to the front yard and could see 5 HUGE propane tanks in the back yard and then I heard why..My mom said that when she was 10(and she is 51 now) 2 local boys disappeared from the area and no one could find them..Supposedly some woman(no one knows who) told the police to check up there..Well they went and found the charred remains of the boys bodies but could never locate a person to questions them..In 1994 when I was 20, my cousin and I were looking for info on the place and had actually found the number in the local phone book(it's not in there anymore) we called it and talked to some guy named Claude..There was 4 of us and we all gave him fake names and one of the girls gave him her work number to call..Well we went up there and the place on the outside is just riddled with bullets and there are bullet holes in the glass domes..It;s covered in red carpet and actually looks like a hotel..Some rooms that had doors shut we could peek in..Other rooms we couldn't even touch the door..There were rooms with open doors and he would show us..Some looked like hotel rooms others had equipment in it..I remember one room in particular, it had a weight bench in it and it had a bar that went up the back with a metal helmet attached to it and in the helmet were metal spikes..He said the spikes go into your skull and it's a form of meditation for them..My cousin at the time was 16 and even she did not believe that...We went upstairs and had to watch a movie from the Phil Donahue show that was from the very early 80's..It had some guy from Iran on it and he was talking about meditation..After that we went downstairs and he was telling us they were vegetarians and that they make their own food but he wouldn't let us sample it..lol..There were places u could see went downstairs and not even if God told me to do it would I have went downstairs..I know that night they were supposed to have a meeting and he wanted us to come but we made up a lame excuse and then left..For the next month everyday he called Becky's work and asked when we were coming back..Finally on the last day he called he said that we all had made the biggest mistake of our lives,..The day I left that place I never looked back...I can honestly say we all feared for our lives even though Claude was the only one there..That area down there is very haunted including the place I grew up..Back in the early 1900's a family died from eating bad mushrooms and they are buried by the woods that touch my dad's front yard..I know live in St Charles and have heard a lot of things about here..I know the place I work is haunted..Every time I work by myself on Saturdays, one of the doors opens and closes by itself all of the time..Doesn't bother me though, I'm used to that stuff..lol..I lived in Germany too and let me tell you that whole country is haunted..lol P Hey there, I read your message and it's very interesting..The 2nd and 3rd things you said were very correct but the first is wrong. You see I have been to the capital and even took a tour there..The building is NOT made of gold and when the devil worshipers WERE there you couldn't hear them from outside..In the last year someone has bought the place(the person that owns the winery down there)..At the capital when they were having their "meetings" all the gates were being watched and someone would sit at the top just right b4 you get to the house with a gun to make sure all trespassers wouldn't trespass anymore...As a teen I would go all of the time and in 1993 when i was 20 I some friends of mine and myself called and talked to Claude and made an appt to take a tour..It's very interesting what happened to us........Oh and the reason they call it the capital is because it looks like the Capital building only yellow. P I have a comment about the mansion being a Maharishi world peace organics mansion/hotel. It sounds fishy to me. We have been to the gate; which is always locked, and they have 24 hour video surveillance. We have called the number for a couple days and no one answers, and we cannot find any information on a center in Avon/Coffman. There is a center in st. Louis and neighboring states. But what kinda "hotel" doesn't answer their phone and keeps their entrance locked. Hmm. Also the person that wrote the statement, couldn't quite make up his mind on if it was a meditation place or a organic farming place or a hotel. You can post this or not.
