Ghosts & Haunts In Missouri
       Haunted Locations In Bucklin

Haunted rail road bridge, located 2 miles southwest of town. US Hwy 36 runs
east-west over the north-south train tracks, two maps are included below. Phantom apparitions have been seen both on the bridge at US Hwy 36, and below the bridge along the rail road tracks.  I have no information as to who might be haunting this site, but it could either be related to an accident on the bridge or
because of the cemetery that is located less than 1/4 mile south of the bridge on
the east bank of Clarks Creek between Monaco Dr and Mimosa Dr.
I need more information on the history of the bridge and feedback from investigations of the cemetery to determine if the graveyard or the bridge
is the source of the haunting.
Below is a letter from a visitor to this site.
Hi,
Regarding the railroad overpass/underpass 2 miles southwest of Bucklin on highway 36. There was an accident there. It killed a young married couple but their two children survived to the best of my memory. Regards
HR

There WAS a couple who were killed there, I believe it was in 1993. The couple and their two children lived in Marceline, as did I when it happened (I even knew them through some of my friends). They were going east on Hwy 36 at a high rate of speed and arguing. A semi truck was wedged under the train trestle and as the couples car came over the hill, they were going too fast to slow down and ran into the back of the truck. The husband and wife were both killed, but the two children in the back seat were not injured. Their son was about four and their daughter was just a baby. I guess the husband and wife haunt the area because they died so tragically and they were fighting. Also they didn't get the chance to say goodbye to their kids. No goodbyes and I love you has to be weighing on their spirits. SV
