Okay, directions to Brookside park: Take Highway 270 to Dorsett road Go East on Dorsett Turn left onto Milwell Follow Millwell until it becomes Doddridge Turn left at the Brookside subdivision sign, this is Brookmont Follow Brookmont for maybe a quarter mile if you start to curve to the right, you have gone too far On the left you will see two houses with fences about 30 feet apart Go down the hill between these fences and turn right. Follow the fence line until you reach the park. (sorry, I'm not sure of the exact addresses, but I will get them to you when I can. G I have the address for the house on Brookmont where you would want to go back to locate Brooksde Park. Park near 11952 Brookmont and go back between the fence for that house and the one next to it. On a map, the park is actually between the North-South running part of Brookmont and Highway 270. All of the space between Brookmont and Cherry Point Lane is woods where there is rumored to be some kind of hidden "fort" where all the kids go to smoke pot. No one knows if it's true or not, but my baby sister claims to have been there and to know the boy who built it. These kids are pretty rough, so I would suggest anyone who does an investigation stay in the park area. Also, there is nothing illegal about going to this park, but because of the rumors, we did have a run in with the police while down there one afternoon. Apparently, we looked suspicious. All the officers said to us was, "Since you're not doing anything wrong, have fun with your orbs and next time you want to look suspicious, do it somewhere where we don't have to get muddy and somewhere thats not haunted." Of course, it helps when you're the Captain's granddaughter, but just tell them you are hunting for ghosts and they'll pretty much leave you alone. They don't like ghosts much. G Visiting this site has consistently yielded some strange feelings and anomalous photos with freaky regularity. Every time we've been there (and it's really easy to get to, no incidents at any time getting to the site) you get the STRONG sensation of being watched, visual distortions of light and line, and orbs show up in nearly every photograph...I myself can see them from time to time while there, my wife has not yet...still researching the history of the place... I went there last full moon, and got some fairly anomalous photos, and definitely had some physical reaction going on...as well. Page Back |
