From Hillsboro take 70w to Kingdom City, turn left on 54 take the outer road that
runs beside 70 on north side of  Dennie's. You'll be traveling East on outer road.
Follow to Callaway livestock center. At stop sign go left (passes over 70),follow
till it turns to gravel, follow on gravel till it T's,  go right  follow past the little
white church on the right. Go down the hill and it's the first bridge, it's marked
with racist graffiti.  There is a little house on left just passed the bridge w/ gated
fence. on the way back check out old nine mile church cemetery. it's pretty creepy.

I've actually done a little bit of research on nine mile, and nine mile bridge, and
did come up with quite a large number of slaves being owned in the township
of nine mile, so there just may be some truth to the hanging on the bridge story. .

We have taken pictures of every place we've been to, but this one was frustrating.
The first time we went we took pictures on one roll of film (with flash and without),
when we got the pictures developed the were completely dark. You couldn't make
out anything. So we went back a second time and used two different cameras, both
with and without flash and we got the same results, nothing but darkness. This has
never happened before. I haven't been out there in about a year. I took a break on
the hunting for personal reasons, but now I am trying to get back to it. If anything
comes up I will let you know.

I've always lived in the Auxvasse area, currently living in Auxvasse. For fun, we'd all go out to 9 Mile Bridge for a few laughs. We had all heard the stories. When we were about one mile away from the bridge, our windshield started to fog up really bad, even though it was extremely warm outside (if you've ever experienced a late Missouri summer, then you know what I mean). We parked our vehicle on the bridge and shut it off. It started right back up. We then ventured down towards the creek. When wading through the water, I swear that I could feel something tugging at my ankles. Once in the cemetery, we walked through the new part. Once we got back to the old part, weird things began to happen. When we'd stop walking, it sounded like someone had stopped right behind us, but there was nobody there. We'd all get sharp cold chills. As we were getting back into the car, I noticed a light in the bell tower of the church, and a curtain shifting in the window directly below it. I took a picture and when it was developed, there was somebody staring at us through that window.
